They squeak, giggle and have crazy names. So what are these toys? There called Zhu Zhu Pets released summer of 2009, by the company Cepia LLC. I was watching TV before leaving on vacation when the commercial came on for them. It was very appealing when I saw it. My sister was all over the TV wanting one. When we left I couldn't stop thinking about these cool toys. After arriving and unpacking we went to our friends house. They had seen the commercial too. It was hot out so we went in their pool. Coming back inside they logged onto their computer, where I suggested they look up Zhu Zhu Pets. Our main results were from Amazon where they were selling at prices up to $350.00 more, then the $9.00 the regular price. Days went by and we left. My birthday came up and with my money I went shopping. The toy section was almost bare of the pets. My sister got the last hamster. I bought my items and at home watched my sister with this toy. It was cool at first but seemed like it wasn't worth it after awhile. Christmas came around and my dad managed to get alot of the accessories and a pet. A few days later the news had a story about, how they were expensive and out of stock. Anyways back to the real review they weren't worth it. The noises got very annoying and their wheels got stuck. They also start by themselves sometimes. Accessories are so hard to put together and keep together. There are little cracks and the pet wheels get stuck in them. I also think that the company should hire more staff and more machines to make them, with all the money their getting. So that would mean they wouldn't be out of stock. The company also needs to stop making wired looking hamsters with weird hair. They also need to release true information about lead levels. As though I'm probably older then the company recommended for the toys age group, I would be cautious on buying them. Don't let the commercials fool you!
